Our brand typeface, DS Indigo, is bold, declarative and easy to read. It communicates competence, efficiency and honesty while showcasing the words themselves.
We use DS Indigo for every brand touchpoint: a custom typeface created just for DocuSign. A happy medium between classic grotesque and geometric sans, DS Indigo feels modern and digital—but not stuffy. We designed the typeface to feel at home in both our marketing and product experiences.

Line spacing (aka leading) is the vertical distance between baselines of each line of text. It plays an important role in legibility. Too much line spacing creates too much white space. Not enough line spacing makes text difficult to read. Follow these rules to strike the right balance.
Line length describes the width of the content. The recommended line length is between 50 to 75 characters (per line) for longer body text. This allows for optimal readability.
Headline copy is always set in black or white. Never set headline copy in color against a color background. As a rule, always make sure there's enough contrast. The examples below have passed the WCAG 2.0 level AA, which requires a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Refer to the color for precise values.

Sometimes technology keeps us from using DS Indigo in a way that makes sense for the constraints. Luckily, we have simple sans-serif fallbacks to lean on. Use one of these two fallback typefaces.
